I've had like 5 sets of the 16 inch style 5s filled and redrilled by LAX and two sets of the 17 inch BBS RC 090 style 5s redrilled by LAX. Both 17 inch sets had unknown center bores after the weld ins.

Well... Turns out they also messed up one of my center bores without me realizing. Going to go get it bored out at a shop.

Alright alright. I was going to take HQ pics and post them up but before i could borrow the camera from my roomie, my buddy mounted them on the car. So here i go with the crappy night shot taken with a freakin cell phone.

As you can see, the bore was welded in a circular pattern and than machined out to 57.1mm.
The ring extends around 0.75 inch out into the bore (towards the face of the wheel) from the back wall.

And its not even precisely machined. There are sharp edges all over and welding slag sticking at random places inside the bore. I will take some more pics during the day time so that you can see better.
For now, here is pic i just took. worth extra $100? judge for yourself.

                    Now....
Below are the pics of fillndrill from back in the day, when they left the center bore alone.

As of now, they are filling the bore to 63-64mm or so. You do not have a choice. They will do it even if you don't want them to. They have made it a part of the fill n drill process.

You will have to measure after they fill it, purchase hubcentric rings thereafter. (If you want to run without the rings, no one is going to stop you. Many ppl do it)
If you want the right bore size, which is is 57.1mm, it is $100 extra. Again, you will have to supply them with an E30 hub because they do not know what a 57.1mm looks like (Incase you did not read my detailed post few posts back)

                    Better quality pics coming soon...

Dude, sorry to hear of your troubles, but thanks for, "taking one for the team" asw they say. I'm sure most of us here in So Cal will be looking elsewhere to FnD our wheels.

You can buy aluminum hubcentric rings rings and have those welded in in stead of them "winging" it. I plan on actually finishing my set next month. I'll decide whether or not to offer it as a service depending on cnc time. Mine will have the backs cnc'd to clear the calipers.

I did have the hub centric rings. I took them with me but they still wanted 100 extra to weld them in. LOL.

This might be a dumb question, but will the changing the center bore size effect the way the center cap locks on to wheel?

Nah, the locking mechanism is on the outside of the bore.
