I've yet to see it on an e30...I just know a few e90 guys who run 265 on their 10" and it's not stretched.

There are plenty of e30s with 255/40/17s that don't look stretched. Thats only 10mm on each side from the ideal sized tire. I'm just afraid i won't have any grip in 1-3rd with anything less then a 275.

Can anyone point me to someone with 4x100 17x10" Brock B1 wheels? If willing to sell, I want them.

                    gonna bump this up..

for those running a 17x10 et15..with 235/40 or 245/40 tire, what type of fenderwork was done?

I'm currently running 16x8 with 0 ET...allready have my fenders pulled and rolled to the max...

I'm about to pull the trigger on some 17x10's and am wondering if my fender will be okay as-is.

                    car is '90 vert.

I'm about to attemp to fit 255/40/17 on the rear, on 17x10 et20. I will keep you guy updated.

I'm just waiting on my spacers for the front...that will be on 235/40/17 on 17x8.5 final offset et20.

                            back up with this...
searched, and getting lots of confliciting feedback.

who ACTUALLY has a 17x10 et14 rear setup and is running a 245/35/17 tire?

how much of a roll (if any at all) was required?
those running a 225/35/17 still needed a roll?

                            application is a 90 vert lowered 1".

i'm being told i need a perfect roll and incredibly stiff springs, whereas many guys here don't seem to sport these specs..

I rolled, a lot I think, and cut a bit on the inner sheet metal of the fender and 255/40 doesn't fit at all! I tried 235/40 and I still have a bit of rubbing... I will see what I can do... I will try to cut more sheet metal inside the fender. Note that I'm doing my test fit with Toyo RA1, a tire that run pretty large, like 9'' vs 8,5'' (bidgestone RE-11) for a normal tire (data from tire rack)

I'm low (60mm drop) with soft spring... around 300lb/in on the rear. Should replace spring.

with a 225/35 that runs small ( for example Falken 452 etc ) and an offset of 14 you need to roll the lip totally flat, pull as much as is possible on the lip and then shave the lip out ( in that order ). you will still have minor issues on bigger bumps and driveways.

If you decide to run a good degree of camber you'll be good.

I have a little experience fitting extreme sizes to cars ;)
