16 = more clearance for your pan while still looking hot.

    Do it.

This logic makes absolutely no sense, I don't understand why the car world thinks this way. If you run the CORRECT size tires it doesn't matter what size rim you're using. It should come out to the same overall diameter.

yea i think 225/45/16 works out to be the same over all diameter as stock wheels and tyres anyway

Not true. The overall diameter of my 16" RGPs with 205/50s on them is smaller than the overall diameter of my stock 14" weaves with (stock) 185/65s.

These may not be called a te37v but, they are a grid-v. They are a straight up replica.

those look great! What size wheel and tire combo are you running? i just picked up a set of 16x7 et18 and 16x8 et15 and am trying to figure out a good tire fitment. I realy dig the look of yours.

SSHHIITTTT!!! so i just got back from the tyre shop.

the rota grid-v's hit on the calliper. even the et20's i want a 225/45 tyre
                    hence the issue.

i can make them fit with a 10mm spacer. but i dont think then that i can get the 225 under the gaurd.

what sizes are people running on 8's with et10? can a 225 fit under there?

so i just had a quick measure. with my m20 POS bottom end sitting in the boot the back sits about where i want to lower it to using my GC coilovers.

and according to the trusty ruler i have 25mm till i get to the rear gaurd, from the tyre. not the rim. and tyre comes just past the edge of the rim.

                      so currently i am running 7" et20 and with 8" et10 i should poke another 23mm

and according to the trusty ruler i should JUST sneak 225s under my gaurds with rolling and maybe a slight flare.

what are your thoughts on this? think its doable?

                      thanks, leigh

                        going from a 195 65 14 to a 205 50 15 loses about 3 mm overall diameter

if your car sat on wheels then yes, it'd sit 1/2" lower.
but in reality, your car sits on tires and the tire sidewall dimensions dictate your ride height, not your wheels.
