wondering about the traction w/ a 15 x 6.5 wheel. I'm hoping to autocross, is this a no go, or would they be ok traction wise with some good tires? thanks for any help.

The wheel width has little to do with traction, its the tire width and tire compound that matters more. That being said, I'm not sure you can fit 225 tires on a 15x6.5" rim. -
I think a 225 should fit, although it will be puffy. people put 225 r-compounds on 14" bottlecaps all the time, and they're only 6" wide.Comment

Yeah, I wasn't really sure. It may very well be possible.Originally posted by nandoI think a 225 should fit, although it will be puffy. people put 225 r-compounds on 14" bottlecaps all the time, and they're only 6" wide.Comment

Aluminum has a pretty shitty coefficent of friction. You will slide all over the place with those wheels.Originally posted by 318isbmwwondering about the traction w/ a 15 x 6.5 wheel. I'm hoping to autocross
