So my lug holes stripped out still have no idea why but both the bolts and the holes were done for

I drilled out 3 of 4 holes for helicoil and ate up 3 31/64ths bits so i decided to go another route. What if i welded studs into the holes i drilled? If its a healthy weld i dont see how it could be any weaker than threading,
Someone got any feedback?
I dont have all the tools to pull the assembly and redo the bearings.
