So - my real question is - are the folks running 15x8's with 225/50 or 225/45 not having any rubbing issues at all? Are these cars lowered? I'm getting a new to me 91 318iS this coming weekend and am very interested in updating both suspension and wheels/tires. I do not want to go super low - honeslty, if I could fill the wheel wells with a nice wheel/tire combo I might not even lower it at all.

Key for me is NO rubbing. It's going to be my daily driver, I have kids and I live in the santa cruz mountains on some crappy roads. So lower may not be good but I want the car to look good!

          Suggestions?

You WILL need rolled rear fenders to run 225 tires on the TRM wheels.

I'm on 450/700 Ground Control coils with camber plates and rolled fenders. All the work was from one of my previous setups so I have no idea how close these would be to rubbing.

If you are low and soft, i believe you are gonna rub.

Agreed. Had to roll front and back.

Thanks for the replies . OK, rolling is a must then. I love the look and if I can get that with rolled fenders to eliminate rubbing I am happy enough to do that.

Soo. Let me get this correct.... You MUST roll fenders "if" your car is lowered??? Or will the 225 rub with stock height?

no it was a tire paint pen. you probably wont have to roll if you're at stock height.

It may not rub at stock height but I don't think it'll look all that great either.

I'm running 225/50-15 rears on team dynamics pro race 1.3... 15x7 et25 i believe lowered on IE3s and I've had no rubbing issues

Thinking of going to 225/45s so I can get some RS3s-- I guess the speedometer isn't that bad just 4% fast...

                                Not the greatest picture
