Why are basketweaves considered "hot" E30 wheels?

    And late 80/early 90's Pontiacs. I always see some gold centered weaves on them, maybe even 16". Many Grand Prix's and Grand Am's but I think they are 5 lug.

      I think you guys are confusing BBS designed basketweaves with any weave style wheel.. most of the knock offs are pretty nasty looking, including that pontiac. the shape of the spokes, curves, etc. is usually odd and very unattractive (IMO). I guess I should be more specific, I like basketweaves done by BBS, not just any old 'weave style wheel.

        Yeah I see your point, most of the Pontiacs around me seem to have better looking weaves than the one pictured. A good friend of mine has actual BBS weaves on his Grand Am, I assumed they all were that sexy.

        But really the 14" weaves I have surplus of will keep me happy for awhile.
