Which do you prefer? Debating between the two sizes. The car is lowered if that changes your opinion. If anyone has any comparison shots I would greatly appreciate that as well. Thanks guys!

How low? You need to be really low to pull off 17s

Not incredibly low. I have 15s right now and I'm just tucking a little bit of tire. I would put up a pic but she's on jack stands right now. But I can get really lowIf you're not going to do it right, please don't take it out on your car!Comment

This is stock height. Can't get a picture right now cause I'm not at my garage. But think of the fenders right at the tires. But my car can also get lower than thatIf you're not going to do it right, please don't take it out on your car!Comment

I've also been contemplating this... I've looked that the " official " 16 & 17's wheel threads. To me it seems on 16's you can run a nice big 45/50 series tire depending on width. On 17's anything over 45 series sidewall looks wierd, 40's seem perfect to me. 16's with a finger gap looks good and you can also go lower, which brings your car even lower.... on 17's you'll HAVE to lower the car but it wont be lower than how low you can get on 16's without tucking rim..
I have been wondering if anyone has run either sizes.. which handles better/ drives better. I'm thinking 16's are the answer to that but I really like 17's lolComment

If you're going to paint your wheels black - it really doesn't matter.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment

I have 17's, I like em. 16's are hard to find a large selection of tires for, whereas 17's have lots of sizing in many different tires, but are not as easy to fit as 16s. Kind of a toss up, just buy something nice, not no-name off-brand cheap ass crap. For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!Originally posted by mbonanniI hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.

IMHO, 16's look best. Not to small, not to big. It is fair to say that finding 16 size tires takes some effort. I run 16x9, et 15, with 225/45/16 on all four corners. Tire brand is Nexen N3000. Car is lowered 1.5 inches and no rub lock to lock. This tire size fits the wheel perfectly with no stretch. Not hating on stretch just not my style. I prefer more tire then wheel.
I was trying to run 225/50/16 but there was hella rub and there was to much tire for the look of car.

16" look good but tire selection is pretty poor, at least if you care about performance more than looks.
17" have way more tire sizes and choices, often for the same price. it's just economics.. unfortunately, even 15" selection is getting really small, which will force some people to upgrade wheel sizes if they want the latest high performance tires in close to OEM-diameters.
what I really want is a 4-lug 17x8, ET33 wheel that weighs 15lbs or less for under $1000 a set, and not fugly as hell. I'm probably dreaming though.Comment
