    offset question

what wheel spacers do i need to run "+45" offset wheels on my 91 325i?
they are 16X7 4 on 100, they are off of my a-2 jetta, and came off of a 96 civic before that.
    thanks,
    greg

20mm all around will do fine. That's what I ran on mine with a +43 offset. Cleared the calipers and no fender/shock rubbing

The stock offset is +35mm for E30 (the bottlecaps)

(put in current specs, and new specs, and it will tell u if it fits. Pretty handy)

            20-25mm.

BTW, those tires won't work. You'll rub everything.

Yeah tires are enormous. 25mm spacers would be ideal but aren't as practical as 20mm (which will still work).

I think for 25, they arent' spacers anymore, they become adapters... which have lug studs on them built in.. I may be wrong, and maybe some manufacturers make 25mm spacers, but i wanted to make sure just for the hell of it

i am running these tyres now with almost no issues, except a slight rub in the front when turned full lock and going through a big dip. other wise no prob. i think the wheels are the same offset that are on it now, they came with the car, and the kid has a big stack of cheep spacers....scarrrrry.

Rolling the fenders doesn't save you from rubbing on the fender lines and the sway bar.

There are 25mm spacers and 25mm adaptors. Adaptors go all the way down to 15mm, just so you know.

And I'm shocked that one can run 205/55/16 tires and not completely shred the plastic fender liners. I've seen smaller tires do it.

i don't know how or what he did, (there were michelin 205/55-16's on it when i bought it, i liked the ride quality, so i replaced them with some kumho's) but there is no rub issues, and everything seems intact so.......maybe a magic wand?????? i also took a closer look at the spacers he used and they look like about a 10 or 15 mm spacer on each wheel all the way around. i just don't really like the wheels they are a n enki big spoke bbs ish knock off. the wheels off my a-2 jetta looked great on it (boxy car) and the only other time i have seen these wheels was actualy on a e-30 way back when my friend had them on his civic, they are pretty light and are made by kosi for senica 16x7.5 i have 5 of them, and since they are circia 1995 i doubt i'll see them on another car. my friend paid a grand just to have them polished (stupid i know but it was a show car, and that kind of stuff was his bag) i will prob try to fit them this weekend, and see what happens
