The rim is protected by the tire still... it is not pulled inward. tire is not stretched. tire size is perfectly suitable for the wheel width.
and 205s look fine
don't look particularly wimpy to me. 205-50-16 on a 7.5" wheel, on top of a 205-60-15 tire on a 7" wheel. um, those were `6" es100 and 15" yoko avid yk420s or H4s or something
edit: listen to the sandman!
get a meaty 205 and save $ from throwing down stupidly for a 225
and have less drag from a wider tire
and better mpg
and not worry about rubbing issues
hell, i'm gonna run 205s on my Rotas... ;)
