New Wheels for the M5... but they need paint

I picked up a set of Zender wheels at an outstanding price. I think they are 2 piece, but not so sure.

I sort of like the design, but I'm a true wheel whore, so I will always be looking for another set of wheels for the M5.

My big delima right now is that the wheels have been primered light grey. This is both good and bad.

    good:
    - prep is mostly done, so it won't be too expensive to put a fresh coat of paint.

    bad:
    - who knows whats underneath the paint
    - they painted the entire rim as a whole, so if i wanted to have polished lips, then that will take a good amount of work. the bolts are painted also which i dont' really like.

So I was thinking of painting the centers a colour and polishing the lips, or painting the whole wheel black like the ACS S3 (minus the red pinstripe)

these are going to eventually be my winter wheels so i'm not looking for the "strip everything down, change the width and polish the lips to a mirror" answer.

    ok, here are the pics

Those are the kind of wheels that would look awsome on an e30 but "meh" on a newer car. Maybe if they were nice and polished I'd think different.

Repaint the centers silver and polish the lips. That would be sweet.

Never seen those before. They look very old school.

Definitely polished lips, and maybe black centers would look sick.

Those wheels are fucking HOT. But not on an E34. They belong on an E30 M3. But they're quite badass!

Hahaha ..just noticed ..."power racer" tires . Gagagagahaha .

But yeah I actually like those old Zenders ....with that style you can get away with just lightly sanding them and just repaint the whole thing a nice metallic silver .

Oh and are they staggered ?

man you guys must not read.

I would really like to polish the lips, however with them being totally primered, i'm affraid of what might be underneath the pain.

think about even 5 years of running around in snow and salt... other germans on this board know that they salt the shit out of the roads here.

even still, i might do a dark grey, diamond schwartz, or even the colour of my car, and polish the lips.

so what is a good method for stripping and polishing the wheels? remember i'm not looking to spend much money on these wheels (saving up for something bigger/better) and i have no power tools now that i live in another country.
