    245/45/16

So a few weeks/months ago I was asking what a 245/45/16 looks like and if it fits.....

    I have the answer.

So I've got an 89 325i sitting on H&R sports with bilstein sports.

Esm wheels 002r 16x9 offset 15 in the rear

I've been running bfgoodrich 225/45/16 and loved them but they where slightly stretched. My car isn't super low and I'm not a huge fan of "stanced" cars but I love a REAL stance.

So idealy 235/45/16 would be the absolute perfect fit but they don't exist.

    Here's 225/45/16

They were already needing some attention.

So with the s54 in I went wider. 245/45/16

I had to phone book my fenders out to fit the 225/45/16
Everyone says go 245/35/16 but I was scared to not have enough height cause the roads where I live are junk but I agree with a set of 16x anything that size would be perfect.

    I didn't listen
    Here's 245/45/16

Not the final set up but for now very good!

I had to pull the fenders with some more yellow pages obviously.

That looks damn good! I wonder if I can fit that with 16x8 et25. How did you use the phone book? The same way you use the bat?
Holy shit did you even read this post before you posted?

This thread sure sucked last night. It just plain sucked. I've seen threads suck before but this is the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.

            Phone book is way better!

            Disconnect shock
            Disconnect sway bar
            Remove spring

            Heat up fenders
Drop it down on the tire squishing the phone book between

I'm sure there a video on YouTube I'll try and find one

              Here:

I like this method cause it pulls it rather than roll

Also less likely to crack paint

I think you replied to my thread already, I just got my rear mounted for my track day on saturday, I moved my rear to the fronts, they are tiny but they are much better than my older front tires.

Front 215/40/16 Khumo Ecsa SPT (should run 215/45 or 225/45) rear is Bridgestone Potenza Re11

I was a bit tired of the hellafrush kinda deal, and decided I needed some real tires when I dynoed at 420hp/420tq.

                Wheels are ESM 007 16x8 and 16x9

Not sure where you even found 245/35/16's to have them as an option, not even tirerack has any.

I've been running 225/45/16 Falken FK452's that I found on clearance for 90ea on my 8/9" staggered ESM 007's. I've been looking at tires for this year, and I managed to snag two Proxes T1R's for $75ea, but the only other option locally is R888's for $414ea

I'm thinking about running 245/45/16 in the rear, but people were saying it wouldn't fit. This looks pretty great compared to how people made it sound.

It looks like your fenders are pulled much more than mine right now, but that is easy to fix.

I pulled a little bit to fit the previous 225/45/16

I pulled a lot more but nothing fancy to get these 245/45/16

The 245/35 I must have been dreaming and I know I had a few bourbons before typing that

There is another size tire that I was considering but can't seem to find it now

I wonder how hard it would be to fit them up front as well...

Only wondering because it was a complete bitch to get the 225/45 to fit up front on a 16x8 et8, kept hitting the fender lip on one side, front of the wheelwell, plastics everywhere. Considering the alternative is shipping 225's across two countries, it may be worth it for me.

Any more pics of your setup? I would really like to see how they fit under stock fenders. Plus some of the pics are no longer showing up.

who makes 245/45/16? I would think a 245/40/16 would be better, but Im not opposed to a meaty setup
