    Compomotive Challenge: Can this be fixed?

    Problem: Retro classic set of 16 x ? compomotives :love: has a "plug" put into them, glue has been used :crazy: :roll:

    Yes- that can be fixed. Good wheel repair shop can fix that.

      Thanks Old City bimmer! know a good wheel repair shop? Had a bad experience with wheelfixit, and they're considered to be good down here.

        Assuming the centers aren't magnesium, it can be filled with weld and re-drilled. I kinda wonder if they are magnesium, hence the glued in insert, or maybe it's a just a shitty repair.

          my guess is just a shitty repair. not sure if Compomotive ever made any magnesium rims. thanks andrewbird

            Update: Any advice in picking the right shop to do it? are there better methods than others? are there tools that make it more accurate or stronger? is there a website where I can learn about the right way a shop should do this?

                  You're probably fine just running 4 bolts/nuts. Works for the spec e30/pro3 crowd (granted the position of their 4 is a little more optimized).
