50/50 powder coat and polish on BBS RS

Does anyone know what's involved in this finish? Powder then polish? Or polish then mask off and powder? I'm interested in the finish in the face...

Powder then polish. Afterwards, hopefully some sort of clear (Clear PC wouldn't hold well on polished surface) or ceramic.

Thanks. What kind of clear does it need?

I did a small stint of working in a powder coating shop years ago, and when we did re-work the cured powder coating was insanely hard to remove, it is a very hard coating. Wonder if you can get the powder coaters to remove the powder from the face before they cure it. Might have to think up a cleaver way to do this so as not to disturb the coating in the crevices.

Or just paint it rather than powder coating.
