    disadvantages of wheel spacers

i cant find any direct fit wheels local, so im thinking of just getting the popular offset wheels and using spacers. but first i need to know the effects of spacers.

You'll need longer bolts and/or studs

make sure they are hubcentric. no, they wouldn't affect your ride, unless they weren't hubcentric and the wheel wasn't centered correctly.

They will add a little bit of weight.
They won't kill you though. Just make sure that they are hubcentric, wheelcentric, and you get a long stud kit.

Since there is added weight (stress), your wheel bearings might wear more quickly.

a whole .25 lbs per corner on top of the 30+ lbs wheel/tire weight wont make a difference.

I've been running 5mm spacers for nearly 6 years. Not a single problem. My car rides smooth as butter, no vibrations. No damaged bearings, seals, clips, tabs, widgets or anything.

I've had tire places loose my spacers a couple of times when I've gone in for tire rotations. I have no idea how they lose them, but they do. Other than that I've had no problems.
