I have experience with both tires, and yes, they are a night and day difference.

sorry to go a lil off topic, but anyone with experience with the Kumho SPT?
i just bought them, but havent had much time or experience with the other tires.
i want to know if they compare cuz the tread design is simular to the RS2.

they have loads of grip and a great tire for the money, but the sidewalls
seem a little weak to me. maybe higher pressure will help with that.

SPT's are excellent tires in many respects, I often recommend them. In fact, I mounted them on my mother's E46 when the tire first released.

But while they last forever (for a sticky summer tire), are quiet, ride comfortably, have huge water channels and all around loads of traction, they do have pretty flimsy sidewalls. I feel this is mainly because a lot of buyers of big aftermarket wheels are shocked when the cars ride poorly afterwards, so Kumho was aiming to please the mass market. The tires aren't Falken ZE-512 soft, but they are definitely less responsive than other UHP summer tires. The first time I pushed the E46 (many months after I bought them) I was shocked as to how much less control I had over the body motions of the car compared to the stock Continentals.

Trying playing with the pressure, as you mentioned. The E46 was at stock PSI, when I remount them I will also be raising the pressure.

I really like the RS2's. They don't last forever for obvious reasons, but that has never been an issue for me when buying tires.

Depends on your driving style, but I’d imagine to the average consumer, 15k to 20k.

First autox on the Hankooks today. 195/60R14. Pretty nice. They are practically brand new (only about 500 highway miles on them). I run about the same pressure as I did on the Azeni 615s. Maybe even a little higher. Started out at 44psi cold. Warm I ended up with FR-47, RR-48.

can you go more in depth with your review, like sidewall stiffness, lateral grip, accelaration, etc etc

Lateral grip was GREAT. Accel was good too. Better than the 615 I think. Its been raining all week and I think these did better than the Azenis in the wet by far. I think the sidewalls are a little softer. The Azenis I was running 44-45psi warm (after 4-5 runs) as opposed to my 47/48psi with the hankooks. These were $3 cheaper each I think too from edgeracing lol. Another autox is next weekend and I MIGHT go to it. I think I like the hankooks better, but for the almost the same price for either, you cant go wrong.

EDIT: With the 47/48 psi the tires were rolling over to the VERY edge of the tread, right where the angled parts stop at the sidewall.
