I have a set of Staggered Alpinas 16 x7 and 16 x8. I have 205 50 16s for the front. What are my options for the rear? Would consider fender rolling but would prefer not to.

Will the 225 fit with out fender rolling? The car is sitting on vert specific Ibeich sports and Koni shocks.

Please let me know clearance issues once you have these mounted.

It was mentioned 205 stretched on 8" wheels to clear but personally I see no purpose to stretching tires that extreme.

            daniel has fit 225/40r16 and 245/35r16 on 16x8 et23...

i'm thinking of testing my luck on 225/45/r16 as it's cheaper and closer to the proper diameter. If 225/50's fit, then that opens so many avenues. I don't care about rolling/slight stretching of fenders to fit the proper size tire for a wheel.

              here goes...

              1990 e30 with E30 M3 5 lug swap.

              lowered on GC coilovers.

              non-staggered style 42s. (17x8 ET20)

              i'm thinking 235/40 all around...

              what say you?

The fronts should fit no problem as i currently have Ronals LS which are 15X7.5 and a 20 something offset(i think) with 225/50/15 tires.

Will the rears fit OK? that's not too aggressive an offset for my setup?

My Car (e30) has H&R springs, with rolled fenders all round and im going to lower the spring hats soon.
Not too aggressive at all, but you will require stretched tires of course. 205/50 all around is a good start, and you will have to roll your rear fenders FLAT.

                  et25 all around.
I will be using 205/45 or 205/45 tires.

Would I need anything to make these work?

                  ----------

                  205/50/15 Too tall? Perfect?
                  205/45/15 Too short?

I don't mind minor minor stretch.

                  ---------

Oh, and what's the deal with lugs/bolts? I'm clueless, sorta.
                  Thank you jay<3
3mm front spacers to clear the struts. Stock bolts. 205/50 is perfect.

i am going 16x9 et15 all the way around. i know the front will need a 3mm or 5mm spacer to clear the strut housing.

i want to run 225/40/16 or 225/45/16 tires all the way around. i dont want a huge amount of stretch

                      will it work?

i am not afraid to roll fenders, and i do have a stiff coilover setup with camber plates.

also how much spacer could i run in the back to get it looking a little more even with the front (late model e30)

                      thanks a bunch :)
225/40 will work with a flat fender roll in the rear. 3mm spacers should just be enough. A 10mm rear spacer would technically make the rear stance match the front, but you'd have serious clearance issues.

Alpina designed those rear wheels (+28 offset BTW) to fit 225/45 on showroom-fresh E30s. Go right ahead.

The tires are an inch too tall, and will rub all over the place. Will likely need 5mm spacers to clear the front struts safely also.

Not a chance. Even with a 215/40 you will likely have to roll the fenders.

                              Jay,

I talked to a guy running 225/50/16, the offset you need is 20, with a full fender roll and it still will rub at full lock. I'll get pics when mounted.

What's the wheel width? Early or late model? Suspension setup?

I have yet to see any 25" tall tire work, I'd love to learn how he did it.
