I have a 89 with H&R Sports/ Bilstein Sports. Right now I have 15x8 et20 TRM wheels with 205/50 tires. I haven't noticed any rubbing, but I haven't driven it much and my trunk is completely stripped of the tar/spare/tools.

Now I'm thinking about getting a set of 225/5s or 225/45s for my next set of tires and was wondering what I would have to do to make it fit.

I just got 205,65,15 for my 325ix will i get any rubbing, it looks realy close to the spring perch. the car isnt running yet so i am woundering if i should return them.

Can you elaborate a little? The 225/50/16 is only .78" greater OD than the stock 205/50 the car came with?



Can I even run a 205 on an 8.5" wide wheel? That's a full inch wider than the manufacturer recommends for that size.

E30s were designed for 23.2" tires (195/60). The 195/65 and 205/55 the later cars were fit with are already "oversized" from the original spec. I can't recommend anything taller than about 24.3" for proper clearance.

Tire brand, size combo's and fitment question. Opinions wanted. Car is a 89 325i lowered on vogtland springs probably a little lower than h&r race springs...I plan on going with h&r sports as the car is just to low.. Rims are 16x7.5 lenso bsx not sure on the offset..

Questions:

Would I be able to fit 225/45/16r's front and rear?
The tires i have in mind is the Nexen N3000 all season and Falken FK-452's seems to really be my only all season choices
I have heard some people say that the 225/45/16 may not fit up front, if this is he case and I ran 225/45/16r's in the rear, what would be a suitable size to run up the front..?

Need the offset first.

Both 225s will fit with fender rolling. Just a bit for the 45, A LOT for the 50. If you're willing to risk paint cracking go for 225s, otherwise stick to 45 and a simple flat roll.

Way too tall. 195/60 205/55 215/50 225/50. Stick to those.

I want a tire that will be slightly stretched so that I can fit them just inside the fenders on my lowered e36. I also don't want to run too skiny because that looks retarded (to me) and would be too tail happy with the s52. My question is would a 225/45 give enough clearance on this 8" wide wheel or do I need to step down to 215/40? Factory specs for this width wheels are 235/40 I believe. I don't mind rolling the fenders a little either.

If fender molesting isn't in the cards 215/40 is the widest you'll get on there. I actually recommend 205/45 as the sidewall height looks a little less goofy on a non-slammed car.

If you run something more aggressive you'll have more than enough traction. A 215 RT-615k or Advan AD08 would be better than a 235 S.Drive.

ive got some 17x8 apex arc-8s with 215/40/17 yokohama parada spec 2's on there. I bought some 8 mm H&R spacers for the rear. but im not sure that they will work without hubcentric rings? would i need some? any input?

Thanks for the input. What offsets? How about something in a meshie. I like the arc-8 style wheel, but think i'd rather go mesh in the long run. I've got a set of 16x7 enkeis that i'm running now that are a similar style to the arc's.

Never got a response on this. Can anyone weigh in?

hey gang, im looking for a good track setup. ive looked through quite a few threads and couldnt find my exact setup in a track setting, so im just gonna ask. im running a complete e36 m3 strut/brake setup in the front and z3 1.9 hub in the rear. my suspension setup is billstein sports with h&r race. im looking to run kosei k1's, perhaps 16x7.5 et38 with 225 45 16's. im not ruling out running 17' k1's, but it seems to really limit tire options, being that i would want to run 225 35 17s'. any other people running k1s in this size or another size that they would recommend more with a similar suspension setup. i dont want any rubbing, but it would be nice to have a big patch of rubber on the road. thanks in advance.

I know this has been answered probably 10 times, but I'm honestly having trouble finding a definite answer, i'm trying to run 16x8 xxr 002's ET 0 while lowered on coilovers. I'm planning on buying 205/45/16, but saw a few 205/50/16's that caught my attention as well, I want to make sure i'll just have to roll rear fenders, the fronts should be fine from what I understand? This is on a late model 318is.

8mm spacers can be trouble on an E30 as the wheel would have zero or next to zero hub lip to sit on. On the rear though, you'll probably get away with it. Learn to torque the bolts in the proper star pattern prior to lowering the car down and you can lessen/avoid any wobbles.
