Just got ESM002R 16X8 ET20 all around
I wanted to get tires. Currently, my car is 1991 318is. It is lowered on vogtland springs and using bilstein sport shocks. Will 205 50 16 or 205 45 16 in the front hit my strut? Do I need any spacers.
The wheels I bought are from Ary ESM-002R 16x8 ET20 all around. I didn't want to have to buy spacers. Would anyone give me tire sizes that will fit without rubbing? I am currently on stock weave with tire size 195 60 14.
Thanks!Comment

I am thinking about getting a set of BBS RM's for my e30 off of craigslist and would like to find out about fitment on my e30. They are BBS RM012, et33 and they have 2" lips. The tires included but not mounted are 195/45/15.
The questions I have are:
-What will I need to make these fit my car?
-Will I have to roll my fenders if I am just running H&R sport spring and bilstein shocks?
-Are these tires gonna need to be stretched on a rim of this width?
ThanksComment

Hi Jay,

I just picked up some 15x7 et20 wheels. fronts don't clear the caliper, so I know I'll need spacers there. I'm still undecided on tire size, I just run FK lowering springs and KYB struts.
is this a forgiving offset? seems like my options on tires are 205/50, 205/55, or 225/50?
anyone have any input at all on potential wheel gap, or spacer recommendations?quoted my original post to make it easier..
I ended up with 5mm spacers. Also, the wheels are et22 not 20 as previously mentioned.Comment

18mm adapters. The tires will probably rub but if it's all mounted give it a try. Rubbing shouldn't be anything too destructive.Comment

RMs are 15x6.5 +33 stock with 0.5" lips. With 2" lips they become 15x8 +13. Ideally you'd want 195/50 tires for these on an E30, the 195/45s are too short (they sound built for an MK2 VW the way they are). Just a minor rear roll if you want to carry passengers.I am thinking about getting a set of BBS RM's for my e30 off of craigslist and would like to find out about fitment on my e30. Yeah same thing. Also, if you really really want stagger, use 225/45 up front.Quote:

No spacers necessary, these wheels are ideal for adding wider lips. 16x9 +18 or 16x9.5 +11.Comment
