Also, make sure you look at a picture of D2's from an angle. The pics they use on sites often show them head-on, and it looks like they have this awesome dish...they don't. The spokes curve back 90 degrees right at the lip, they look really weird in person. They make a few 17x8 and 17x8.5 fitments that will actually bolt up to our cars without spacers, and if they weren't so ugly I'd have bought a set. Just a heads up.

damn...would the hub rings cause the wheels to vibrate at high speed? i think they look pretty sick but i haven't seen them from an angle yet. do you know anyone that has put them on an e30 or has any pics??
    thanks Jay, Ian

edit: I just saw a pic of a 240sx with them from the side and I see exactly what you are talking about. they kinda do look weird. thanks for the heads up.

Hello sry if someone has asked this question.

I want some ultraleggers for my e30 and i cant find SH*$ on offset, bolt pattern and what not anyways I just wanted to know if there are and ultraleggeras that will fit the e30 without spaces perferable in 15" or 16".

      Thanks

Hub rings are safe, they won't cause any vibrations.

I'm glad you saw the wheels from the angle I mentioned, the Rota pictures are REALLY misleading. Even the 17x8.5" ET25 version, which should have a nice huge lip, doesn't at all. Just those weird spokes that actually protrude PAST the lip. Ugh.

There are no 15" or 16" Ultraleggeras that will fit without spacers.

I have a set of 15" Alpinas, et14, I think they are e21 fitament. Anyway, my question is not if they will fit, I have been running them for years, but will they fit with a 225/50 or even a 225/45 on a low arch car? I have had them prior on early cars, but I have always run 205/50s and even with those, with a 5mm spacer in the front, I have caught the fender lip a few times. I know that a mild fender roll is in order, but how much massaging will be needed to stuff 225s in there without the spacer? Oh, and the car is pretty well slammed. Thanks in advance.

            edit:they are 7" wide.

Hub rings essentially just center the wheels. I've heard of people running larger hub diameter wheels without vibrations, having the rings keeps them just fine. I've been using them for 2 years, on 2 sets of wheels

Unfortunately, you're pretty much out of luck. The offset is just too low to get 225's on there. The 225/45 would be easier to fit, but even still I wouldn't recommend it unless you're willing to flare the fender lips.

Kinda what I thought. I'll stick with the 205s then. Thanks.

It's not a hard fit, just rolling. It will be STRETCHED.

                    Jay
How much of a roll/flare would be needed if I put 245's on the rear? The 225s would be way too much stretch for me.

Edit: This is for the 17x10 brocks that I asked about a while back

I have a mostly stock 325i and want to run the 16x8 or 15x8 slipstreams with et20. I have upgraded swaybars, ireland camber adjusters in the rear. giving me -1 degree camber, i will be fitting camber plates and have offset control arm bushings giving me increased caster. if i go with the 15's than my tire will be the re-o1r in 225 and if 16's i have not made up my mind weather to go with 215 falkens or 225 falkens or re-o1r's. My question is this, which setup will give me the least rubbing issues? I will roll the fenders but am wondering about rubbing the body durning turns. Should I get steering stops?

245/35/17 would be the best choice, and you may get away with just a flattened fender lip if the springs are stiff enough. It's going to be a tough fit, though.

                          The only 15" RE-01R I see is a 195/50/15.
The only 16" RE-01R that will fit an E30 is 205/45/16.
The widest 16" RT-615 that will easily fit an E30 is 215/45/16.

I have said this before, and still stand by it: the 16x8 Slipstream with 215/45/16 RT-615s is just about the best all-around budget setup for an E30. Very little, if any, fender rolling, and nice square slightly stretched sideways (excellent response). Steering stops are not necessary.

The Slipstreams are only available from 18racing.com in our fitment. As for the Falkens, a lot of the US guys on here like discounttiredirect.com
