    So can I run 15X7 BBS RS's with a 38mm offset on a 91' 325i?

Also, what tires would you recommend?

Nope, you'll need spacers. 15mm all around minimum. If you use 15, you can run up to 225/50 all around.

I have yet to see any 25" tall tire work, I'd love to learn how he did it.

I assume he'll be OK posting this here, he shared readily and seems like a cool guy. I also googled around and found a track E30 and 1 other using the same setup (star specs on 16x8)

And I was wondering if you had to do anything special to fit them. I have the same tires, and 16x8 et 25 - would a 5mm spacer do me OK?

        Thanks

Heat gun and baseball bat ready. So you were @ 20 offset? Thanks for the quick reply.

        Have a good one!

hmm.. im running 215s all around now, on DS2s with no rolling, no rubbing, and there seems to be PLENTY of room.

i definitely dont want to go as narrow as 215. i hate the ones i have now, as they just dont stick.

Ok, I see. Check this out though. They started out as 15x6 ET38 and the lips were swapped to make the wheels 15x7. Would that change the offset? Also, where do all you guys get spacers?

Here's some pics of the wheels:

Dude, read that over again. He has a gutted and track-built car, sits on springs that have rates in the 4-digit range, AND he had to flare the fenders outward "pretty severely". Pretty much nothing left on the table there, that is well beyond what I call extreme.

I will still never, ever recommend that tire size. No one here wants to try any of that (rather, all of that - you can't skip a single step there) with their street cars, or even weekend track specials. You're pretty much racing for trophies at that point.

I mean if you're willing to take it to that extent, you're probably not reading this thread. The hardcore motorsports guys will push the envelope past a reasonable point to gain that extra .5 secs...but that doesn't mean it "fits" in a sense that is remotely applicable to 99.9% of the E30 population.

There may be plenty of room, but the centerline of the new setup would be a full 2cm (almost an inch) outward. Combine that with tires that are 2cm wider (almost half an inch on the outside) and you have a scenario where you need about 1.25" more space. You may think you have plenty of room, but definitely not 1.25".

Definitely, they are now 15x7 +25, which is ideal E30 fitment. You can run 225/50/15 right off the bat, or narrower of course.

Thanks for reply. I am running S-Drives and noticed that they only have 225 50 16. Do you think these will work? The car is also sitting on Eibach sport springs.

Wouldn't recommend it, you would have to roll the fenders to fit those.

well, im not opposed at all to rolling or even cutting the fender lip.

how wide do you think i CAN go, and avoid destroying my tires? 225?

roll the crap out of your fenders and put 245/35-17's on there.
