        don't worry about it. mine has rubbed for a long time.. eventually it just wears through the plastic. ;)

            I ripped out the plastic, also heated the inside of the fenderwells and the framerail with a torch and notched it in with a hammer (also hammered my fender lips completely flat).

            Decent amount of work but I have pretty decent wheels + tires with NO rubbing, full lock on any angle surface.

                Well, my wheels were only 7" wide in both instances. Aren't yours wider?
