And I did a comparison between the Eibach pro-kit and the H&R Sport springs, and while the H&R seem to be a bit better handling (minimal), they're also not quite as progressive as the Eibachs. And for me, I want a stiffer ride when I'm hitting the corners, but I'd like to give up as little cushoin as possible for my jaunts down the freeway and on my way to work. The Eibachs look like the best spring for that. Read the following link:

Aworthybrother, I'm lowering my sedan as well, and the Eibachs give 1.5" front and 1.0" in rear. I think that's our best option for maintaining drivability while still improving cornering prowess.

I don't need to eliminate every ounce of fender gap. I think the Eibach setup looked the best of all of them, personally. I'm going to be doing this setup with the 17"x7.5" that I ordered.
You referring to me? I'd bet money on it that I'm older than you if you are. Do your research, Eibachs have to be THE worst lowering springs you can buy for an e30, period. They are just for looks, talk about impractical, they lower your car with almost the same spring rate as stock. Eibachs will not improve your "cornering prowess", they will lower your car and that's it.

You want a stiffer ride in the corners? Ever drive an e30 with eibachs? Handles like crap, ESPECIALLY in the corners, I know from first hand experience, not from reading posts on the internet. Those springs came with my car whem I bought it, I would never buy them. There are far better choices out there.

I daily drove my e30 even through the dead of winter without any issues. My KW's were progressive rate springs, totally streetable, not uncomfortable, not harsh but firm enough to take care of bodyroll.

Like I told you in your pm, I'd go with H&R sports over Eibach's anyday everyday.

Do your research, the eibach pro kit is not your best choice especially for an e30.

I am going to have to agree with egk2 on this topic. 16x9's looks like ass with the wrong suspension/ride height. egk2 and I have discussed this suspension before when I was having problems with my suspension.

I was running the 60/60 kit with drop hats out front and 15mm spring pad in the rear. The ride is not harsh at all and handled pretty well. Although I did not toss the car around on the streets.

Here it sits with 17x7 with a 205/40-17. It filled the wheel arches up quite well.

Here it sits with 16x8 205/40-16 and 16x9 215/40-16 BBS RS003. Same suspension, as you notice it opened up the gap by a lot.

I re-did my suspension, and I sold my RS's and the 17s are way to big for my current drop so I have 16x9s coming sometime next week.

My current suspension consists of 60/60 kit with drop hats and Koni short bodies. I modified strut tubes by cutting the strut tube the height of the short bodied koni's, cut and welded the spring perch an inch lower from its original spot and welded the cap threads back on top. The current stance will accomodate the 16x9's quite nicely.

Here's a pic of it next to my eta......

The ride is not harsh at all, I wish it was stiffer but its does its job as a cruiser. It rides amazing, and handles well.

Thanks!! I have ordered: DZ Exklusives DZ1's 16x9 et 15 all around for my cabby and 16x9 et15 Type A's with 60/60 kit for my sedan. I am going to modify the strut tubes on the sedan just like I did my cabby. :D

My boy offered me a rediculous amount of money for them, and I couldnt turn down his offer. =) Now I got money to build my other set of RS's and buy my two sets of wheels for both my e30's and drop the other one.

;) now can you turn that offer down?

Stock wheels/tires with huge sidewalls don't even fill in the
wheel wells, now imagine sidewalls that are over an inch shorter.

I'm planning on running 245/45/16's on slipstreams, fender modification is a given. They are going to be an inch or so taller than stock but I will make up for that by going to a shorter gear.

You guys should remember what kind of car those springs are going in. H&R Sport on a 325i will be lower than a 318i with H&R Race and usually Race is lower. I'm addressing Spec b/c he said he was going to put H&R Sport on his 318i (i'm guessing cause that's in your sig). It won't lower it the advertised drop.
