yeah. that's the ground-control add on coilover kit.

it is a great option at $399 and includes coilover springs,
ride height adjusters for front and rear, and new weld on
          front spring perches...

the kit converts your stock strut units into coilovers.

I only ask because mine have this and since my wheels are actually a FWD offset, I have this raised part in the middle that I hate. Water gets trapped between that hump and where the spokes were welded in. Sometimes I'll leave my house with a little water caught in there, and I'll drive like 2 miles and the water just stays in there from the centrifugal force. :curse:
i believe it has to do with adding strength. Take a flat piece of aluminum and add a ridge bend and it doesn't flex nearly as much as it did flat.
so your friends and the tire store can take the tires off of the wheels.... it is called the drop center, when you pry 1 side of the bead of the tire off the wheel the oposite side sinks down into that area and allows the tire to be removed from the rim.....

some wheels have it on both sides and some have it on just the back (reverse mount).....
it would also add strenght to the wheel tho
You're talking about the little lip around the wheel right? Mine are reverse mount like that too.. I'm talking about a big 4" hump in the dish part of the wheel.

Couldn't tell you why but my local dealer has them for 160 euro in 16x9 plus 16% tax. 7.5x16 are 144 euro a piece.

the only reason I would sell them is if I need money. and the motor isn't finished yet, so it may be possibly I will be in need of money. I'll pm you in the rare event that I decide to sell

greg- I may need to get in touch with you about centercaps. the ones in the first pic are what came with the rims. the ones in the 2nd pic are the ones I want. the previous owner of the wheels bought 2 of those (bottom pic) center caps from someone in germany. I guess someone had to contact borbet in germany. the 2 are being shipped to me as we speak. I'll explain in detail when I get the 2 caps in

Where?? Tell me who has them. The Borbet type T's in 16" would definately change my mind from getting the 16" BBS RKs.
