    Blacked out bottle-caps (picture request)

    Does anyone have there bottle caps blacked out, just the center part, not the lip.
    Pictures?

        Cool, I just did mine today exept I just left the lip unpainted.
        I didn't have the patience to do just the bottle-cap part like you and Digital wave did. :oops:

        I think I like it better, I'm not sure thought. :?

          that makes no sence...both of them left here lips unpainted, did u paint the whole thing?
          I dont think that would look good at all

            originally chrome bottlecaps. I too painted everything but the lip. the other guys didnt paint the "dish" part. just the spoke area.

                I did my with a lesser black on the old 320 - not sure if I like it more or less .- no gloss

                    anyone got a writeup on this and what paint to use? I'm guessing the process is to scuff up or sand the centers then spray with flat or semi gloss high temp paint

                          I used Universal Black engine paint on my rims, with Aluminum engine paint on the lips. I just did a crappy job masking and sprayed them. I didn't even use primer. They have held up good. I sanded the rims a little, and used a dremel tool to remove the curb rash.

                          Use a lot of clear coat if you use them, engine paint wasn't made to be washed so much so its starting to wear.

                            I personally think they look better when you just do the spokes, and leave the dish+lips alone.
