Blacked out bottle-caps (picture request)

I Just gave it 5 coats without masking, then used "Goof-off" to clean the overspray off the lip and scruber-pad to polish it off..

.....Not before I washed the crap out of them with copper-pad :)

Also, in the end they are still bottlecaps, just a different color. You will still hate them.

course ill still hate them, i want a write up because i dont know what kind of paint to use, how to prep the area that needs to be painted, how many coats, clear? lip another color, or leave unpainted, these are all questions I have, and a write up would answer them, while they will still be bottlecaps, i want them to look decent, they're all i've got for now, your a pimp

looks similar to mine, but u painted the center caps. were those originally chrome? like mine

now just lower you car.

I'm trying to look for deals on used ground-controls right now
for a 60/60 drop :twisted: or at least leveling out that pre-88

k you want a write up you got it.........

things you need......

400 grit sand paper

800 grit sand paper

automotive primer

and duplicolor wheel paint.....

first use the 400 grit sand paper to take off all the built up brake dust on the rim..... once you have sanded the rim with 400 grit..... wash em then use the primer.... and do 2 or 3 light coats.......... once the primer is fully dry lightly sand the whole wheel down with 800 grit sandpaper..... use a air compressor or whatever you can to get the excess dust off the wheels after you sanded em...... once that is done take the can do like 5 light coats of wheel paint...... and voila... also if you want them shiny just hit the wheels up with some nice clear enamal..... thats how i did my grill... here are some pics of the wheels of a 240sx......




the ones i did came out exaclty.... plus it looked a bit shinnyer.....
