    cleaner for painted wheels

aight my wheels were painted and clearcoated to match the body of the car when i got the car painted. they seem to be cleaning off really really easy, but i know theres still some brake dust on them somewhere. any recommendations on a cleaner that wont hurt my clearcoat/paint?

BMW has a wheel cleaner that seems to work pretty well and isn't too harsh for clearcoated wheels...but Purple Power/Simple Green work fine if you're careful and dilute it with water/soap.

It may have worse effects on older wheels, where there clearcoat is starting to crack/etc.... but yeah, in your case you'd probably wouldn't have any problems with just straight Purple Power/Simple Green.

Maybe the Simple Grenn will dissolve the Expedition, Rob. One less SUV on the roads.

I just use soapy car wash water. It works fine.

Works great on wheels that are regularly cleaned, and dont have dust built up, or burnt onto the finish...that's when Simple Green/Purple Power come in.
