I made the exact same thread before I bought mine.

I've ran them for maybe 8k miles since April. They're pretty bad now, the tread is probably 4/32 or less and it got pretty hairy on a maxbimmer cruise this past weekend in 1" rainfall. Up until now though they were very capable of dealing with standing water, I never expected them to be very safe at all.

I say do it if you can keep the speeds to legal in the rain.

Hence why they are a street going R compound at tread wear 200. So you are getting 10k roughly out of them? How often do you rotate them or have you at all?

Yeah, I'll actually reach 10k out of them. 2 auto-x's, the rest all street. They were rotated maybe once or twice early on, nothing much. They're wearing evenly F-R.

Good to now as my Kumho R's are going to be toast by the time I get on the track this year. I'll be looking into some for next year possibly.

I've heard that they're pretty good in the rain, but they're like clay on the snow and ice... But I have no expierence with them myself... I've heard they have good reliability as far as losing grip and stuff though. I would like a set. :)

they were absolutely useless in 2" of snow, even with full tread depth

they have snow in the south??

Maybe Rob was too lazy to switch wheels/tires.....or didn't have his 2nd set back then.

Just wait until you see the video I'm going to make with bald Azenis on the rear this winter.
