320i - Source for clutch kit

I'm posting this in the Touring section because a lot of us have motors other than the M20b25 in our cars. I want to replace the clutch in my 320i Touring and am having trouble finding a source for a clutch kit. I would like to use OEM quality parts. A Sachs kit is available on UK eBay but the all-in cost is around $260 because of shipping, vat and the exchange rate. Does anyone have a source for an M20b20 clutch kit?

According to Realoem only the pressure plate is M20b20 specific. It's Sachs 3082 005 133. It shows the clutch disc the same for the M20b25. Although Sachs shows the clutch kit for the M20b25 also working for the M20b20. I don't know what the difference is.

Thanks Andrew. I've tried to cross reference part numbers on the Sachs web site and it's confusing. The Sachs 325i clutch kit that FCP sells has a part number that I can't find on the Sachs site at all, so I sent them a note and they responded that they would try to get the Sachs part numbers for the individual components in the kit. I think my next step will then be to contact Sachs directly and ask if the parts will work on a 320i.

I don't think there's much harm in using the m20b25 pressure plate.
it's probably a bit stronger since the b25 has more power?

Check if the flywheel is the same. Then you know if you can use the m20b25 pressure plate

Thanks. According to RealOEM, my 1988 320i Touring has the same dual mass flywheel as a USA 1988 325i sedan.

depends on the flywheel, m40 and m20 will have a different starter so easiest way to work out what flywheel you have is pull the starter, then its just 318 or 325 cluch to suit flywheel size

Thanks for all the replies. I ended up biting the bullet and ordering a Luk OEM replacement clutch kit from UK Ebay. Total cost was $260. It arrived in less than a week from Dublin, Ireland.
