Kick Down Problem on 525i

Hello everyone,

I have a 1990 BMW 525i and I am having problems with the kick down system. Has anyone had a similar experience or can give me advice on how to diagnose and fix this problem?

smoke test it and eliminate any vacuum leaks. most high idle and running issues can trace back to vac leaks. other things become suspect once that is solved. you'll need a proper smoke machine or take it to a shop.
