E34 headlight retrofit into my E12 + Cold Air Intake !

I got some used E34 ellipsoids for my E12! Finally got around to retrofitting them. Not sure if anyone's done this but I figured I'd give it a shot. I also fitted my intake in to the passenger side highbeam location. Just wanna see what everone thinks! bodywork is soon to come!

Don't like the look of the filter there, but the headlights look good. Maybe if you used one of those intake ducts that fill up the headlight housing and stuck your filter behind it

Except now you have a hot air intake. That filter will get heat-soaked quickly, even if its in the front high beam. Can't beat bmw stock intake, period. Yeah you look and sound cool, but functionality is compromised. And no I'm not some purist, but I know when to not change a good thing. You may even see a loss in power

Not disagreeing. But what is your reasoning?

This is on an e28, but similar, if not identical, intake filter setup.

Needs some more fine tuning. They don't appear to be centered, facing the correct positions, and slightly off axis.

You're getting way too into it. The car looks and sounds cool. And as far as physics go, when the car is moving , the intake is getting MUCH cooler air than the factory location. The air is away from under the hood. But thanks for the science fair project research. :hitler:

Those wheels are not working for me at all. I like the rattiness otherwise.

FYI, your sig is way too big. Crop the top and bottom and your minimize a bit.

                        Still big but...
