    Car choking in gear!

When I'm in neutral, I can rev the car up really high, but if I try to drive, feels like the car is choking if I try to give it some gas.

I would start off 1st gear, rev it until It chokes, shift to 2nd rev til it chokes, and then it starts dying, 2nd gear will feel weaker, then I have to shift to 1st, I can drive for so long until the engine stalls.

If I Turn off the car and wait a while, I can keep doing this.

Is this symptoms of a bad fuel pump?

Is your timing correct? Maybe the belt slipped a tooth or you installed the chain wrong. You posted a while back that you overheated a M42, just wondering if it's the same car.

i vote fuel filter. U run is super low on gas prior? or pump at a station that was getting refilled by a truck?

sounds exactly like a clogged filter. After letting the car sit for a minute it lets all the crud settle so you can go again.

Have you checked the afm? How many miles on the car? The afm will cause all kinds of problems if it's old. Open the afm and put the copper arm on a new track.

I've had this issue every now and than when my car sits for a long time and goes away after I let it idle for 15 min or so, I vote build up in the fuel filter
