Pioneer 3500 NEX E30 install

Hi,

I bought a Pioneer 3500 NEX flip out radio for my 88 E30, I took it to a shop for installation and the technician said the flip out might hit the window wiper lever when the screen comes out.

Has anyone installed a motorized flip out radio on an E30?

Use a ruler to check the distances when the screen is out. Create a cardboard prototype.

Ive seen a few flip outs in the E30 and dont think the washer stalk was modified. If you already bought it, Id say power it on, open it up and test fit it.
