at one time there was a a locost 7 kit with mounts for an e30 m10. it was kinda popular for some seconds when there were a few more around.
i'm ok with the 60/40 distribution that comes with the m20. the added displacement just adds more cruise and a touch more acceleration. and a few more possibilities for a street car.
an m10 e30 with properly maintained suspension, or even mild common upgrades, would be great fun autox car and grocery cruiser. i can see it ahead of the m20 in that scenario no worries. any other protracted drive ... not so much. assuming essentially stock engines / suspension / etc.. plus early meh motronic on the 10's
now throw the m42 in the mix and i think things change considerably again.
