hahaha. So I'm an idiot. I figured it was the stock KE83ZBM radio I haven't quite finished rebuilding - well, all this time and I never noticed I had left the map lights on. I remember now that I had turned them on so I could see while putting the almost-finished radio in the car for testing. Then, I got busy with work and didn't touch it for months. And even on a trickle charger (which barely does enough to power the lights), it would still have a dead battery. I only noticed today that they were on, keeping in mind the car is on a charger full time.
The sucky thing is, that Optima battery is really dead.. but at least the radio that I've spent hundreds on so far (and it doesn't fully work yet) isn't the problem!
