I agree that there is no demand here to import a car.

However, I don't understand why. It's really easy. I've done three.

Have you got a link please buddy?

The headlining is not alcantara, it's named anthracite from factory, black basically.

It surprises me a little, but of course I don't know the market. I thought most buyers on sites like BaT would not be local to the car so would need them transported, appreciate shipping adds more leg work but that is something I would arrange and it's fully insured.

it may be easier in the US. very few have done it here. most opt to buy from a dealer that specializes in importing then selling domestically. those dealers typically won't look at something that old though. i know that the import process here is not friendly at all. it's way easier to buy one from the US then bring one from overseas.

edit: often you need documentation from the mfgr to import, even if a private sale. loads of times this kills importing.

Reading back through the thread - wouldn’t a 325i sport with low mileage be highly sought after in the UK? They are a bit of a legend as not many M3s were imported due to them being LHD. I’d just sell there and avoid the hassles.

We can import UK cars to Australia, but most of them are treated with suspicion due to the potential for hidden rust issues.

The car is LHD, hence looking to potentially export.

Ok - fair enough. Yes, that would dent it's value in the UK presumably vs a RHD one.
