Physically easier, sure. I can see the appeal of MaxJax though, unfortunately I don't think they would fit well in my garage.
I have been looking at max jax aswell but the way my garage is set up they wouldnt fit well due to my doors being small and against both sides of the garage.

Can the Quick Jacks get high enough to remove the motor from the bottom?

Negative, you're only gonna get 20-24" of clearance.

I really like my QuickJack. I'm faster getting the car in the air with the QJ than I am with a jack and stands, though not as much as I hoped. But I feel so much more confident than I do with a floor jack and jack stands, both with the process of getting the car up and its stability once it's there.. It's a bit less turnkey than I hoped (positioning), and I wish it were a few inches higher, but I'd still buy it again. (I've occasionally considered selling mine and getting the current generation, which offers a couple inches more clearance, but I can't justify the money.

Agreed. I'm glad I bought it, but it has its limitations. It's still useful for most of what I work on.

I like my 7000TL because it barely fits the mini, and it was at a nice height to sit on a stool and work on the front end/brakes/etc.

Yeah you can't slide under the side of the car anymore, but with 24in of space, I didn't mind rolling in from the front.

It is heavier than jack/stands, but it doesn't really take more time to set up than jackstands - I always find with jackstands I have to raise the first side halfway or the stands tilt, but that probably also has a lot to do with my stone driveway.

Big issue with it is that the 7000TL is too short for most larger vehicles. My XC90 and LR4 have too much distance between jack points.
There are adapter frames to increase the length, but they're pricey.

That said, the Cayenne guys just use the Quickjacks sideways (perpendicular to the car) and it seems to work alright.
A few have made DIY extensions for cheap, and I think that's the route I'm going to go, either via square tube or 6x6 post.

Costco seems to be by far the cheapest place to get these when they go on sale.
