My PS2 takes a beating from being thrown around in bookbags, etc..... I've had it for 3 years and it's fine.

Dude, I can fit a 10 disc walmart special CD changer in my glove box. It is friggin HUGE. (check out the pic of it on the my www link)Originally posted by royalflush313speaking of which, the E30s have pretty big glove boxes, the PSTwo would probably fit right in, without any cutting. . . Maybe I should get a monitor in my car :shock:Originally posted by 808BMWHeh, my first thought is easier for car installations :POriginally posted by BS87All the people who midified glove boxes etc to fit in a bulky PS2 will be pissed they didnt wait for the smaller version.
And some dub deuces.
You could definitely get the pstwo in there. (well, at least i would be really surprised if you couldn't)

Sony said themselves its obsolete. It will be once this one becomes available, and they plan to make larger memory cards, rather than HDD's.Originally posted by nickmp0werit wont be able to use a harddrive or hd loader tho
Besides that, I know absolutley no one with one, or who wants one.Reminiscing...Comment

i actually got mine about 4months before it even came out(bought in japan 06/2000) and it still works fine...i even took it with me to and from japan on trips about 3x...oh and none of the ps2 systems are region free, unless you bought the VERY first series in japan (SCPH-10000)which was able to play all DVD and all ps2 games regardless of region...Originally posted by Jonathan 90 M3Damn, I've had my PS2 for 3 years now with no problems and I use it for games and movies alot. I got it the day it was first released come to think of it, still works like a champ. :up:IG: @Baye30

Also...from Gamespot...
"Sony has indicated that the redesigned console will still be called the PlayStation 2 (70000 Series), not the PStwo, as previously speculated, but the box art for the new retail package does feature a clearly visible lower-case "PStwo" in the bottom right-hand corner of the front panel."Reminiscing...Comment

OKAY! So I have missed gaming ever since I gave up my super Nintendo YEARS ago. I have always wanted to get something else, but just never found one I was convinced was worth the money. I can't pass this up. I have heard great things about the PS2. I enjoy playing it when I am around one, and now they are coming out with this new nifty unit that wont muck up my decor! (and will fit on top of the digital cable box nicely)
SOOO, the question is...
What games? Obviously you guys like the PS2 and have experience with it. So I am comin' to you! I would like a racing game, something that has a realistic feal to it. (not any of that other dimensional stuff I have seen) AND I would like to know just everyone's all around favorite game, no matter what kind it is. RPG, combat, racing etc...
YAY! My best buy gets them in on tues. You know where to find me once I am off work.
:)
Thanks fellas!

Wait until Gran Turismo 4 comes out. Until then, rent GT3. :)

my lil brother has GT3.
What's up with such a little selection of bimmers? And why is that there are RUFs, but no Porsches? Can you unlock more cars or sumthin?~ Go Canucks Go! ~

the answer to both is "lawyers". or more specifically, licensing issues with both manufacturers.Originally posted by royalflush313What's up with such a little selection of bimmers? And why is that there are RUFs, but no Porsches?
go play GT2 sometime; buy one of the e36/e46 cars they have in the game, you'll notice you can't take them to the wheel shop. guess BMW didn't want anyone "perverting" their creations.
& as far as porsche, the game authors just couldn't work out a deal with them. luckily, RuF did the legwork necessary to have themselves declared a manufacturer in their own right and not just a tuner, so the end-users (you and me) came out ahead :)past:
