    Restoring the red button on seat belt receiver.

    Apart from disassembly and painting, any tips to restoring the red button that has faded to pink?

    You can hit it with a heat gun. They make an cone-shaped tip accessory for heat guns to concentrate the heat to a small area. Make sure you’re using that

      I masked and painted/cleared mine. They are holding up well.

            Do I need to pull the seat out first? My heat gun has 2 settings, I assume the lower

              If you’re referring to the rear seat, it’s prudent to do that. Although if you’re steady and careful you can just aim the nozzle at the button. And yes start off with the lower setting.
