Engine Wiring Harness Question

I am in the process of swapping a 2.5l from a 2.7l. My parts car had a 525 Motronic 1.3 ECU (91 vert) with the engine, but no wiring harness. Does any 2.5l Motronic 1.3 wiring harness work with my ECU and engine?

there may be differences with the pinout. probably not anything you'd need. the 525 is the more advanced 1.3 ecu. i'm pretty sure any 1.3 ecu will run on the 1.3 harness 87 and up.

Any M20B25 wiring harness and DME will work with your engine. Depending on the year of your E30 and the year of the engine harness, some wiring may be necessary in order to adapt the engine to the chassis. If your vehicle happens to be a 86-87 325e/es you can use the harness from a 87 325i/is and it will be plug and play.
