Questions to ask when purchasing an E30

Long time member but have not been active in YEARS. My first car was a '91 318is that was sold back in 2005ish(miss it every day). Im now in a position where I can get myself a little weekend car. I found a '92 318i convertible on FB marketplace. I am trying to figure out what kind of questions to ask the seller to make sure I am getting all the information I need to make a solid decision on purchasing it or not. Would love to get back in to an e30, and the wife is even excited about it as well.

What questions should I be asking this seller?

    Thank you!

M42 Stuff: Timing chain? Oil pan gasket(s) - theres two? Mess under the intake?
Convertible Stuff: Power top functional? Rear window condition?
E30 Stuff: Subframe & Trailing Arm Bushings?

The rest should be visible and easy to fix/replace, but yes, much more expensive than 2005 prices.

Im not totally familiar with M42 and convertibles so Im sure there are more things

I would inquire about headgasket/profile gasket replacement in the past. Also, I would make sure the test drive involves bringing the car well past warm-up to make sure the cooling system stays pressurized.
