    Starting after a long pause

Hi all, I haven't driven my Touring since the beginning of December, and probably won't til the middle of February. Should I consider building up oil pressure before starting, i.e. pulling the fuel pump fuse (11?) before starting up? Am I over thinking this?

      Yes.
I let my eta sit for almost 3 years without starting it, dropped some fuel stabilizer in the tank and filled it (drained first) with premium, had no issues. These cars are a lot beefier than people give them credit for.

I always pull the fuel pump relay and crank until oil pressure light goes off when I haven't driven the car for a few months.
I don't know if it makes an appreciable difference, but I do it anyway.

Oil pressure builds up fast, assuming the motor is working properly.

Even if you pull the spark, or fuel, it's going to start rotating without pressure anyways. But do you dawg, what you want to do aint gonna hurt anything

Thanks MrBurgundy, That's what Imagonnado. No labor to pulling the 11 fuse and letting it crank for piece of mind. Lots of work went into the Touring. R

If you wanna be super paranoid, pull the plugs,
give each bore a squirt of oil,
then pull the valve cover and squirt the cam, too.

Now it's all oily, AND no compression.

But you don't need to do any of this...
