M20 Intermediate Shaft Bearing Cover Gasket?

Hey all,

In the process of putting back together my M20.
Looking for info on the "Gasket Ring" found on real oem #24 on this page.

12111363190 is NLA and I believe the engine was leaking from this spot prior to the rebuild.

If anyone has experience with this gasket that would be much appreciated!
- Is the gasket the black ring shown in the photo below or is there a 2nd gasket that goes somewhere else along the bearing cover?
- Has anyone used a generic gasket/one from another model in the place of 12111363190?

it's just an o-ring. i used generic o-rings from an o-ring kit in a lot of places on the car.

Thanks for the reply! I realize I'm probably overthinking all this, but it's my first engine build and I'm getting a little carried away.
What I wasn't sure of is whether the ring I have labeled in the below Picture as "B" is included along with the Bearing Cover or not.

Would appreciate clarification on 12111363190, the O-Ring I'm overthinking: Is it replacing "B" or is to be installed in location "A" making "B" a different part all together?

dunno what you are on about. it's an o-ring. there isn't anything else down there. i replaced the needle bearings and rebuilt the oil pump during my engine build.

i have seen it listed as a 50 x 2.4 o-ring

there is no picture showing in post #3 so we have no idea what you are referring to
