Trunk lock actuator frozen - convertible

Hey guys hoping someone has run into this problem and had a solution.

The trunk lock actuator in my convertible is frozen and I can’t open my trunk. Being a convertible, I can’t kick in the ski pass, so how do I open the trunk to replace the actuator?

Actually all actuators are frozen, but at least I can get access to the two front doors to replace those.

I’ve not had this problem, yet (thankfully), but you might be able to get to the mechanism through the hole for the license plate light with a bent wire.

dunno if this works - see if your gas tank door cover is unlocked and the gas tank door is open. if it is, depress the lock. it should unlock the trunk. old trick i read about in another forum on 80's bmw.
