On Wednesday a fire broke out in Thornton Colorado in a grass field nearby a middle school and the wind quickly picked it up and blew it into my friend Chris Luftig's yard. The yard is full of classic Bimmers among other odd end projects, mostly owned by enthusiasts having their cars stored there. The fire rapidly spread throughout the yard knocking down every car in its path. The destruction has been catastrophic; the photos show just how gnarly this disaster was. This one truly hurts to see, I know all too well the feeling of losing an E30 and never having the chance to complete it and continue enjoying it. And many people are experiencing just that, with little to no restitution but the go fund me that they've set up (Jason is an established business owner on the same property). I got introduced to Chris through BMW's, he's the guy everyone in the Denver area goes to in order to fix their projects, he does this for a livelihood and he's just lost so much. The donations go directly to those who have lost these cars that were once a part of their story and will now only be a part of the past. Alternatively, any purchases made through our eBay page directly supports Chris.
