+1. If im in a rush, ill goto the stealership and use the discount on parts but BMA and some others still have my parts business. My local chapter is heavy into racing at VIR and newer models. I think im the last e30 in the group.

ask again... I used to buy a lot of my parts from Burdick and I always got a CCA discount. I hear that they moved to an area with more dealers. It used to be a BMW/Toyota dealer.

I joined back in the day for the discounts. I'm now a member of the Tarheel and Sandlapper chapters so that I am notified when big events come up like driving schools and club meets. The biggest reason I'm a member of the Sandlapper chapter is so I get invited to (and a discounted entry at..) the Performance Center driving events. They also let club members do 1300 mile break-in drives on their test cars that stay at the location. 10-15 people cruise through the mountains for a weekend, it's nice.

$40 a year. I think it is $15 to add an additional chapter. Ask your friend if he has the August 2006 Roundel. It's worth a look if you havent seen it already.

#364845. joined to autox 3-4 years ago, stayed a member even when not owning a bmw. Most of the chicago guys who autox are pretty cool, haven't been to a "gathering"

Used to be ...pre internet. #119293. Got bored with it and decided to let it lapse. It was $35 at the time (dunno what it is now) but it was worth it considering you get 10-15% off BMW parts and the Roundel.

10+ years and counting. The club has its share of whiners and elitists (like any big organization), but by and large the positives far outweigh the negatives. For the CCA, I can thank the good friends I've met, the driver's schools I never dreamed of doing when I first joined, and the excellent writing / journalism that is part of every month's Roundel. If you're sitting on the fence wondering whether you should spend the paltry $40 and join, just do it and you'll be glad you did!

Member #418434 here. I actually just joined - not sure why I hadn't before as I've owned BMW's for quite some time now. Roundel is all the rage, and I was hoping to attend some track events / driving schools through it as well.
