There should be a metal tag on your differential.

Wipe the grime off of it and post the letters and numbers on the metal tag.

Should be something like: "S3.73" followed by 4 digits.

If it has an "S" listed before the ratio as in the above example, it is a Limited Slip Differential.

I think the OP wanted to know what the differences are when it comes to things like a map light mirror, suspension, OBC, etc...

Wheels, bumpers, hood, lights, drivetrain. Nearly everything else is vert specific.

I don't think that's been scientifically proven. I drive a vert and stick to the one thank you.

lets contribute useful information and keep the bull shit out

The convertible has a reinforced part between the strut tower and the chassis the coupe does not

here is e30pq convertible chassis with the reinforced parts of the convertible chassis and a strut tower brace

                    1

                    2
followed by stuck's coupe displaying the non-reinforced part of the coupe chassis with no strut tower brace

and last is bimmer car "ringtoy" he has an e30m3 coupe with a strut bar

and he added the convertible reinforced plates
                    strong coupe chassis
                    strong strut tower reinforcement
                    strong strut tower brace

                    best of both worlds

if you would have read the post it would make sense.

basically the convertible has extra reinforcement near the shock towers.
                        the coupe does not.
the coupe can have the reinforcement added.

                        I posted pictures displaying it.
