    Jesus I didn't notice that..

You guys are really getting screwed over in Cali..
I'm in a third world nation and I get gas cheaper than that (nominally cheaper, but cheaper still)

What the heck does the "ti" stand for? I know BMW produced the 2002tii in the early part of the 1970s....but not in '76. Cool looking ride nonetheless. An 02 would make for a fun project car.

Panama: the gas prices do suck here in Cali. And thanks to my JC chip, I'm stuck with running the expensive stuff :x

Ryan, did the VIN check out as a REAL Ti? If so... I have seen numerous 02s incorrectly badged when someone puts side drafts on their car.

If/when you convert the car to 318i injection, let me know. I have a complete set-up that I had put together for one of my 02s. I have since sold that car and don't have a need for it anymore so I was going to sell it. There are even a few TBs and injectors in the box that would work well for turboing the car down the road (yes, that was what my plan was).

Have fun with the project! I warn you, though. There is something about 2002s that is far more addicting than any other car I have owned. :D

I *think* we're still paying sub 2 buck for 87 around here, but 89's 2.07ish and 93's 2.15-7ish. I remember when 93 was 1.87. Those were the days.

Those are normal gas prices for us... it sucks!
thats one of the reasons for selling the E28... the Mileage it gets on gas and it has to have 91oct (my euro high-comp motor).
The car needs quite a bit of work cosmetically on the outside, but it rides solid and the motor runs VERY well. I plan to fix it up and make it a daily driver that is classy and comfortable.
The car is a true Ti. that is a Euro model with dual carbs, but this car has all the Tii injection. I bought this particular car because it was in my price range (I don't wanna say) and it was somewhat close. Everything fell into place for me aquiring this car and it just seemed right.
Thanks for the positive feedback guys. I am out to replace my alt belt and get started on a few little projects for the 02.
                      Later!

I can't believe you're selling that beautiful E28, after all the work you put into it!

You better not only make sure it goes to a good home, but you'd better get a pretty penny for it.

to be honest, I havn't put a ton of work into it. I have had it 10mo now and I have done the motor and the wheels. shadowline trim and euro 5" headlights sum up all my mods.
The car will be getting the motor swapped back out for a stock engine, so I will not loose much money on the deal.
Anyone interested in a solid E28?

Looks good (mostly) not a fan of wind splits, I read they are going, thats good! My favorite car I have EVER owned was my perfect inca 72 Tii Man i miss that car.

I pay about 1.81 for premium in Laredo but My Family in L.A. has been near 2.90 for premium in L.A. lately! Gas her in Mexico is 7.20 a litre for premium. Thats over 3.00 a gallon and they are a major source of crude, the problem here is (1) government sticks it to the people & (2) refinary capacity is way too low but they will not allow outsiders in. (read U.S. big oil.)
