Attn ppl with 17" E36 Msport replicas on E30

    Hi all.

This for anyone with 17" E36 M3 Motorsport replicas on their E30 (see pic):

I have 4 of these rims on my E30 now. However I'm in the hunt for a 5th one to use as a spare (for 2 reasons 1. I'm anal and want a complete set, 2. I have ordered 300mm brakes and need something bigger than a stock wheel for a spare anyway). I haven't found any companies willing to sell me a single rim.

    Here's my questions:

    1. Has anyone out there got a sinlge one of these wheels they want to sell me?
    2. Are there 3 people out there with a set of 4 already on their car, interested in doing a group buy of a set of 4 wheels to split amongst ourselves to use as spares?

    Thanks,

    Andrew.

Yeah, the spare tire depression is pretty big. Besides, if he's got a low profile tire on it, it will fit. That's the whole purpose of plus sizing wheels and using low profile tires, to maintain close to the overall original diamter of the stock wheel/tire.

The wheels came from Autovogue in the UK (I'm in Australia)...when all the issues are sorted out, I'll let you know whether you should buy from them or not.

They shouldn't have a problem fitting in the spare wheel well, as I'm only running 215/40 tyes.

Actually, good luck getting that in the spare. I have a 15x7 E34 basketweave spare on a 205/55R15 tire (for my 5-lug) and it sticks above the tirewell by a few tenths of an inch. Diameterwise, it fits fine but widthwise, most wheels wider than 7" would cause the carpet to lift up, especially if the tire has a wide sidewall.

I have an 8.5x17 with a 235/40 oversized tire in my spare tire well. It fits fine. It sticks up a little less than an inch but I'm having a false floor put in for my amp and will have a plexiglass cover over the spare for a perfect fit.

I love those wheels on the e30 and on the e36. Too hard to clean and too heavy though.
