My car is going away for a while!

Well, even my car is being put in storage for the winter :)

I never drive it at school and insurance is so expensive, that I am going to leave the car at home under a car cover in the garage and put it on limited insurance coverage.

I've been neglecting the car for a while now so I am glad it will get some time off and out of the sun. It has been garaged all its life up until this summer, when it sat outside with my parts car in the garage and then this semester at school I decided not to buy a parking permit for the garage, and the paint is starting to suffer. It's going to get a lot of much needed attention, and hopefully some new goodies while its down. And next time its back at school, it will be in the garage!

don't forget stabile and a battery tender. A little marver mystery oil in each of the cylinder bores too.

w3rd, I was thinking of doing the same thing TJ. I never drive my car at school, except to work, and it doesn't seem worth it to let it sit in the sun all day long. You won't have to worry about drunk fucks key'ing it either.

Plus the fact that my apartment is a 2 lane road away from the bay, and about .5 miles away from the ocean, letting it sit with the Atlantic seabreeze spraying salt all over it is just asking for trouble.

my next goal in life is to buy a house with a garage.. I'm fucking sick of parking on gravel and tracking mud and dirt into my car all the time. also sick of living in a ghetto neighborhood, but at least my rent is cheap so I can save. :)

and even though we don't salt our roads in washington, winter still sucks. we use gravel/sand, I got new rock chips on my windsheild almost daily last winter; my window is so pitted, chipped and sandblasted that it can be hard to see.

Damned, and I thought I had it bad with living between two oceans and it raining 9 months out of the year..

(yes, I know, what kinda lunatic buys a cabrio in a country like this - a dumb one :))

You guys haven't seen anything. My car made 2 trips on the Alaska highway. Ruined the paint, oil cooler, front valance, windshield, headlights, fogs, etc. Even paint chips all over the rockers and the rear skirt from all the rocks.

Now that I've saved the car from a life of northern winters I really need to get it into the body shop.

And TJ, I don't know how you can go without driving. I go nuts if I even go a couple of days without driving something, it's my stress relief. Hell I went nuts when we went to Cayman for our honeymoon, after 3 days I rented an escort just to drive around in circles on the island

I hate spending my money on gas and when I drive my car a lot something breaks so I really don't mind going a bit without driving it :) It'll still be around when I am at home. The roads around here SUCK too, it seems like all of West Palm is under construction and I can't stand driving on them.

Yeah, I am still Toyota 4x4 truck hunting so I can hide my car for the winter, tired of driving it in the rain/cold weather...
